Junk Journal Page Ideas

Hello crafty Peeps! Today while I was preparing to start my "Retro" JJ for a swap in my paper crafting group on FB "Papercrafters United" i started thinking about creating unique pages that are fun to look at, touch and use! I started looking back at a few of my journals to gather the most unique styles of pages and wanted to share those with you! For those of you new to JJs you may want to catch up on my blog posts for a look at a few of mine as well as my YouTube channel which you can get to by clicking HERE ... I have gathered the pages I plan to receate with a twist in my new JJ.. I think this time i will add a few new elements.. i love the pages in Paper Bag minis, how they are constructed with an additional flap added onto the page and how you have the tucks for tags or ephemera.. i may create a few hinges and add in some new pages! Im also considering a few other mini album elements and will be sure to share those with you as i go! So here are those pages!

Here is a page out of my Fairytale JJ... I have created a doily tuck and made a large tag out of a page taken from an actual childrens fairytale. On the opposite side I have a piece of torn coffee dyed parchment paper i made into a side loading pocket and uses twine to create a bow.. Inside i have left a journaling spot! I plan to use these ideas on a page in my upcoming JJ!

Yet again we are looking at the same JJ, While this page is not very unique i do love the pocket tuck and wanted to share it.. you can see that i have folded a page down a bit to create a pocket but i only adheared the pulled down part on either side to leave it as a tuck! So i have on one page a place to add items into my pocket and also slide in some journaling paper where i created that tuck spot! The opposite page is just a smaller page and for some interest I had added a flower.

This JJ was featured in Faith Crafter Magazine, here tore a piece of paper that was coordinated with the other page on the opposite side, I could have choose to ink it for added effect but did not. The other side was edge punched to create some effect and I had some tags tucked so that they would peek out.. That is a homemade embellishment cluster which I will be showing in a later post! The final Pic is showing use of a small half page, I created a belly band with a punch and slid two phrase tags into that band.. You can use your imagination and create fun and unique pages!
